Then on Sunday evening we’ll be apart of the SEA OF LOVE a huge celebration of Louisiana Swamp Bop sounds with some fine musicians all taking place at the historic Brunswick Ballroom, we’ll be sharing the stage with Benny & the Flyby Niters, Loretta Miller, Ian Collard and Ezra Lee all owing to the wild imagination of DJ Mohair Slim from PBSfm, this is one NOT TO BE MISSED folks. Our Bassist Tyron acquires 'Artist Endorsement' from K&K Sound System!

Well, after approximately 17years of using the same K&K Sound System Pickup on his Double Bass it’s time for an upgrade for Tyron and with that comes a nice endorsement from the company as well. So we will be adding some additional promotion to our social media sites and Tyron can not say enough good things about this amazing product.

“I’ve been using the K&K Sound System Bass Master RB pickup on my Double Bass since about 2005-2006 and it was a game changer for performing live and getting my Bass amplified. I was a hard-nosed Underwood pickup user which sits under the bridge but then added a seperate transducer pickup under the fingerboard to help amplify the ‘slap’ sound but I did suffer from a lot of feedback issues. Then a friend put me on to this K&K brand and never looked back thus why I’ve been using it for so long. I’ve taken my pickup system many times interstate and on overseas tours and it’s never let me down”

We’re proud to partner up with K&K Sound System and appreciate their support for The Rechords.

Boogie Festival, Cooly Rocks Festival and more ...

Well, things are heating up now we’re heading into Winter here. We have a bunch of great shows coming up including a recent inclusion on the incredible BOOGIE FESTIVAL held at Our Friends Farm in Tallarook, Victoria. This boutique festival has been going for some years put on by the amazing team at Love Police and unfortunately and sadly it is to be the last one held at the Tallarook Farm. It all happens Easter weekend and we’ll be performing on the Main Stage on Sunday 9th April.

On this same weekend, Easter Sat 8th April we return to the amazing Palais-Hepburn venue in Hepburn Springs, Victoria for a full show so don’t hesitate to grab your tickets asap via the link in the event. We also have a bunch of other shows coming up over April & May in and around Victoria then coming up in June we’ll be flying north to Queensland to appear as one of the headline acts for the COOLY ROCKS ON festival in Coolangatta….ahh, some sunshine and warmth to escape the cold of Melbourne.

Well that will do for now….but drop back sometime to find out what else is happening with Felix, Leo and Tyron. Stay Swinging folks!!!

What's coming up in 2023 for The Rechords

Well, we have certainly been quite here on social media and the interwebs but that’s all about to change. Like so many, life gets complicated and all of the band members have had other things to deal with and this also included taking a back seat for some breathing time from Social Media. It becomes all to overwhelming at times so taking a break is good for the soul. But now it’s time to puff up the chest, dig deep and shout it out to the world….THE RECHORDS are still here and we’re itching to perform for you all.

So, to kick off our 2023 we’re heading regional Victoria. Our first show back will be at the amazing Hop Temple in Ballarat on Friday 10th Feb which was to be apart of the annual ‘Ballarat Rock’ festival (which unfortunately has been cancelled for that weekend but will be rescheduled at some stage) so to keep the good vibes happening that same weekend the crew at the Hop are getting us back for a big 2 set show. It’s a great venue, great food and beer and we had a ball last time we performed at this joint. Then the following night we make our way down the highway to Castlemaine for the Town Folk Festival on Sat 11th Feb. This event will be held over three of the local venues in Castlemaine, The Bridge Hotel, Shedshaker Brewery and the Boomtown Winery with 16 acts spread across all venues over the day and night. We’ll be doing our thing around about 9:15pm at the Bridge Hotel.

Fast forward to March and the awesome folk at Love Police Touring have kindly asked us for support to Eilen Jewell (USA) and her band for their upcoming Australian Tour. Eilen has eight shows here in Aus and the four Victorian shows (not including the festivals they are performing at) we’ll be support for all of them, so quite exciting for the lads to be included on this tour. All details and tickets can be found via our Shows page or via the Love Police website.

But wait…..there’s more!!!! Get ready Queenslanders, we are making our way back across two borders in June to perform (x3) shows for you in conjunction with ‘Cooly Rocks’ happening over the 7th to 11th June in Coolangatta, Qld.

More details to come but lock it in, we’re heading north for Winter!!!

So that’s it for now good people, we’ll be sending out some updates as times goes by but please drop by our socials (if you do that sort of thing) and you’ll be in the know sooner then most. We’re on Facebook and Instagram (we don’t do Twitter or TicTok….whatever that is :D ) We really hope to see as many of you at our upcoming shows somewhere in your region.

From Tyron, Felix and Leo (The Rechords)

We're still here..... 2022 and beyond

So you may have been thinking …. “we haven’t seen much action on this website” ….and you’d be right.

However that doesn’t mean we’ve been hiding, it’s just a situation of time and little of it to have kept up with the updates on our site. We’ve been lazy and relying on our Social Media pages for promotions recently. But guarantee you we are still performing and plodding away behind the scenes. We have been jumping in and out of the studio a few times getting some more recordings down for future releases. We have been focusing on our personal lives in the last few years due to the calamity of the last few years because of Covid but we’re gathering ourselves together and slowly poking our heads out into the daylight. So stay with us and our suggestion if you can’t find us here, then feel free to check out Facebook page or our Instagram pages. See you at a show soon!

Next show: This Sunday 8th August at The Espy Basement, St Kilda, Victoria (see our Events page)

The Rechords would like to thank ours friends and fans for support for 2020-2021

As we all know it’s been a tough few years for everyone and we’d just like to take this opportunity to thank all who have followed us, attended our shows, purchased music from us and generally showed the band some love. We’ve been plugging away at this since 2009 and we haven’t lost the passion for music yet so we hope that 2022 brings with it some promise and opportunities for us to venture further afield once again to share our sound both to local audiences and hopefully those overseas. Stay safe folks and help us keep live music afloat. Happy Holidays and a prosperous New Year for all.

The Rechords European Tour 2020...... CANCELLED

Hey folks, some of you may be aware that we were scheduled to commence our 4th European Tour this coming August/September for 2020. As is well known now, the COVID-19 situation worldwide has had a major impact on Festivals, the Music Industry and International travel in general so with much decision and with much regret we are cancelling the tour because there are too many factors involved to be able to safely confirm that we can actually make this still happen. We are also quite conscious in regards to our own health as well as our immediate families not to mention the possibility of extra quarantine time that maybe required returning from overseas travel even later this year. There is also potential that it may be more expensive to travel and so it will become financially not viable for us.

For those overseas who may have been anticipating our return and looking forward to seeing us perform we are sorry. We hope to look at the possibility of touring back to Europe in 2021 or 2022 so let’s keep our fingers crossed. Until then, stay safe, stay well and you can always look us up on social media and even check out our recent LIVE STREAM show we completed on Sunday 17th May, 2020.

LIVE STREAMING.....guess that's where it's at right now

So we’re following the trend of going online to stream our first ‘non-gig’ folks. Like many bands right now, we are feeling the pain and the isolation from our friends and fans and are aching to perform live again in front of you all. Well, I guess in the meantime we can give this Online Live Stream deal ago on YouTube Live with the help of some very helpful people who are handling the tech side of things (we can’t thank them enough). So this Sunday 17th May is the night we go LIVE online from 8pm. So venture over to our ‘Events/Shows’ page for all the details and link to access.
