Heartaches & Hangovers is a new regular honky tonk night in the Thornbury Theatre’s Velvet Room on the second Saturday of every month. Unique to this night is the supreme pairing of community radio legends Denise Hylands (Twang -Triple R FM, Saturdays 2pm -4pm) with Dave Heard (Acid Country- PBS FM, Thursdays 3pm - 5pm) as resident DJs going back to back playing your favourite country tunes including a few by the night’s namesake George Jones that will be sure to get feet two stepping on the dance floor.
'LYING LIPS + HAVE YOU SEEN MY BABY TONIGHT' is the next Double A Sided 7" in a series that are being released over the next 12 months from the trio and they are honoured to launch it at this incredible night at one of Thornbury's most iconic venues and some of Melbourne's legendary community radio personalities / announcers from PBS & RRR fm. This will be a great night folks so get on down to support your local music community and grab your limited edition vinyl on the night.
The new single releases continue for Melbourne trio The Rechords from the collaboration with producer/engineer, David M Turner Esq. The second of many releases to come from these sessions is the Double A side 7" record “Lying Lips/Have You Seen My Baby Tonight” .
The Rechords draw on many influences from the Americana genre with particular roots in the golden tones of the 1940’s, 50’s & 60’s. A stripped back line-up of acoustic and electric guitars with an upright bass allows their rich three-part harmonies to shine through while ensuring the rhythm is still upfront and strong.
“Lying Lips” sees the Rechords tap back into their vintage country roots to lament the dangerous temptation of alluring beauty everywhere.

“Have You Seen My Baby Tonight” is a teen-rebel anthem of being restless and pining for that special someone. Lush 3 part harmonies paired with a desperate rock'n'roll tone accompany
dramatic lead vocals from both Leo & Felix.
